Frustrated by the unsatisfactory match results due to AFK teammates, League of Legends gamers asked Riot to ban accounts with high ping.
High ping has long been a problem plaguing the gaming community.
In League of Legends games, it is not difficult to encounter players who occasionally chat `lag` with a status line to `show off` their high ping level, saying `don’t curse me, everyone.`
This causes a lot of discomfort for teammates.
Recently, some gamers on the Reddit forum expressed their frustration when constantly encountering teammates with high ping:
`Don’t let people with a ping over 200 ms rate. Or if that’s not possible, at least create a private server, don’t make me have to match with a Mr. Bashmir playing games offshore, on an island.`
`I agree, it’s also nice to get an alert if my ping exceeds a certain threshold. Sometimes it can happen that there are Internet problems that I’m not aware of and only find out when I’m already in the match`
`Sure, Riot just needs to create a better server for Africa. People in South Africa play the European server at a ping of around 165 – 200 because this is the best ping for them. No machines
`I’m from South Africa and used to play with a ping of 207 in my old city. That was the best ping I had, so shouldn’t I be allowed to play this game? Sure it’s not ideal conditions but
`Skills Matter`
`Brazilian OTP Rammus achieved North American Challenger rank with a ping of 200ms`
`He doesn’t need low ping to solokill Showmaker. All he needs is 200ms ping and some armor`
In general, everyone sympathizes with gamers with high ping, because this is a technical problem or an objective factor due to geographical distance.
Previously, League of Legends used to display the ping of all players in the match.
