Before continuing to scare the world’s audience with the horror blockbuster The Conjuring 3 in 2020, producer James Wan and director Michael Chaves will work together to release the masterpiece The Curse of La Llorona.
Based on a famous Mexican folk tale, the film recounts the legend of La Llorona – a woman who wandered from generation to generation, constantly wailing to find her drowned child.
This time, the latest film from the horror universe producer The Conjuring takes the audience back to 1973 in Los Angeles, with the main character being Anna Garcia (Linda Cardellini), a widowed social worker.
More and more, she realized the terrible coincidence between the mother’s incident and the supernatural phenomena happening to her own family, behind which was none other than the wailing devil in the legend of La La.
The Curse of La Llorona was produced by horror movie `witch` James Wan and director Michael Chaves – who was assigned to be responsible for part 3 of the horror blockbuster The Conjuring (expected to be released in 2020).
The Curse of La Llorona is scheduled to open on April 19, 2019 worldwide.
2. Annabelle 3 (expected to premiere on July 3, 2019)
After the huge revenue success of the two parts Annabelle (2014), Annabelle: The Creation (2017) and The Nun last year, The Conjuring horror film universe continues to expand with part 3 about the ghost doll.
To overcome Annabelle’s power, exorcist couple Ed and Lorraine Warren locked it in a closed cage and used a sacred card to seal it, isolating it from the outside world.
With part 3 of Annabelle, filmmaker James Wan is the co-writer and main producer.
Annabelle 3 is expected to premiere worldwide on July 3, 2019.
3. It: Chapter Two (expected to premiere September 6, 2019)
Hailed by the world’s media and audiences as `the most anticipated horror film of 2019, It: Chapter Two carries the expectation of continuing the success achieved by the previous film It (2017).
Therefore, it is not surprising that Warner Bros.
It: Chapter Two is set 27 years later, when the children of `The Losers Club` have grown up and faced countless problems in life.
Although the group may have become more mature and wiser, their battle with Pennywise still had unexpected consequences, even causing some members to experience extreme pain.
Touted by the producer as a more `mature` and `darker` part of the film, It: Chapter Two also caused a stir among movie-loving audiences thanks to the participation of famous Hollywood stars.
