Just launched, the electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class off-road SUV is ‘preparing’ to return to Vietnam?

Mercedes dealers in Vietnam are currently accepting orders for the G580 model, a car imported from Germany expected to enter the market in the third quarter.

Mercedes introduced the pure electric G580 model at the end of April. In particular, even though it is an electric car, Mercedes did not use the name EQG according to the company’s usual naming method, but chose the name G580.

In terms of design, the pure electric Mercedes G580 is not much different from the gasoline version.

As an electric vehicle, the vehicle also has a closed grille accented with a glowing border.

The car’s interior is similar to the gasoline version in terms of detail layout.

In terms of power, the car possesses up to 4 engines providing a total capacity of up to 579 horsepower and maximum torque of 1,165 Nm.

For comparison, the car has 2 horsepower and 314 more torque than the AMG G63.

The four-motor configuration allows the electric G-Class to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, 0.4 seconds slower than the AMG gasoline version.

Mercedes claims the car can wade through water up to a maximum depth of 850 mm, 150 mm higher than the G550 and G63.

The electric `Moc G` can also climb slopes up to 35 degrees and has a ground clearance of 249 mm.

Like the traditional G-Class, it can climb uphill 100%.

A feature called `G-Turn` is included, allowing the SUV to rotate in place like a tank.

Mercedes-Benz’s newly launched vehicle is equipped with a front independent suspension and rear rigid axle along with an underbody protection panel using carbon material.

The operating range has not been disclosed, but some sources say the car will take about 32 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% (with DC fast charging).

Mercedes dealers in Vietnam said that, like gasoline versions, the G580 also allows customers to choose personalized equipment.

Currently, the selling price of Mercedes G580 in Vietnam has not been officially announced, but is expected to be about 9 billion VND according to information from some dealers.

In Vietnam, Mercedes’ AMG G63 version is currently sold for 11.75 billion VND.
